Your journey to knighthood begins in your local Masonic Lodge. In Louisiana one must join his local Lodge and become a Master Mason, then join a Chapter of Royal Arch Masons and a Counsel of Cryptic Masons. In practice once a man becomes a Master Mason he can then join a local Chapter, Council, and Commandery at the same time.
